I'm scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning. Originally I wanted to have the baby on Friday because of school stuff, but all week I've been showing signs and feeling like I'm getting pretty close. So, today they gave me a choice of being induced tomorrow, waiting until Monday, or just going when I go. Obviously, the latter was intolerable because I would have no control over that. (That's also why I'm now really annoyed that I'm having some painful contractions tonight.) Waiting until Monday would be okay, but let's face it, January's birthstone is so much cooler than February's, so tomorrow it is.

Update: 6 pounds, 7 ounces

January is a cooler birthstone, but Monday IS Groundhogs Day. It's a toss up. :)
I think I ought to be offended. My birthday is in February and I think the amethyst is a beautiful birthstone. Kim, I hope you and baby are doing well. I'm a bit confused...is that a picture of our new little niece on Nick's post....is he trying to get more comments?! Congratulations to you both!
Jim's birthday is also in February but I have to say he didn't even know what the birthstone was of either month. Way to go Nick, you win the prize for the most comments. But Mia is beatiful. Congratulations!!!!
Just so everyone knows the universe revolves around Mia, I woke up just after midnight in labor, so we dropped Aiden off at a friend's house and came to the hospital. The nerve of her disrupting what we were counting on to be our last full night of sleep and not waiting another six hours for her scheduled induction!
I must say that I'm impressed with Jenn's perceptiveness. Although I suppose she has learned from one of the most egregious of Tustison schemers.
I just read Nick's comment to Chad and I'm a bit disturbed that he took it as a compliment.
