transformers
Dad and I watched the movie, "Transformers" the other night. Cool movie, by the way. Thanks, Trevor for the recommendation. Anyway, the names of the transformers, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, (I can't remember the other names) sounded vaguely familiar. Did you guys have those particular ones? And what is the difference between gobots and autobots? Just asking.

Jenn and I saw the movie while we were in Vail and...we liked it. Although Jenn's brothers fast-forwarded through one scene which was somewhat miffing.
Anyway, as far as what the difference between gobots and autobots. Here is what I know: Both "product lines" were initially produced in Japan and eventually came over to the states. Transformers lasted a little longer due to its ties to Hasbro and their marketing powerhouse. If you remember, both had syndicated early morning cartoons and comic books (I think), but only Transformers had the 6 or 7 part movie that has undoubtedly received cult status at this point.
Specifically, I remember owning a grey gobot jet that was pretty much the best ever.
