Chad made me a theif!

Have you all heard that cheesy moromon tale of a theif in church who was irreverent and stole the spirit? Well, I turned into a thief at church last week, but not that kind. I am now the hardened criminal type who picks up things that aren't hers and takes them. In my defense, I think I have drawn Chad's name for Christmas four out of eight years and I get the sense that he really doesn't like sweaters from Eddie Bauer or any of the other preppy stuff I have tried. Okay, so maybe I am exaggerating and that was the only gift I have ever given Chad, but I saw the coolest thing in the lost and found at church when we first moved in. The first time I saw it, I knew Clint and Chad would have a robot dance-off to compete for this particular item. Well, 11 months later, it was still in the lost and found, and I drew Chad's name for Christmas. The last time I saw it, I just picked it up, stuck it in my purse, and walked out with it. I can't wait for Christmas now to get rid of this guilt reminder of what a sinner I am, but also to see if I can actually tell what Chad thinks is cool by now, eight years later. See you all then!

What's a theif? Is that anything like a rebbor?(jab, jab)(which reminds me of an incident when Nick and I were folding newspapers).

Kim, I must say that the Eddie Bauer sweater was a very nice gift that I wore with confidence and ease. I got better grades with it, went out with more girls and probably even interviewd for a campus job with it. I have always seen you as a very trendy dresser whose likes were eagerly utilized during your stint at Old Navy. I heard that you were sorely missed. Don't think I don't notice that. I have since grown out of that sweater, and no doubt, someone in some 3rd world country is proudly displaying my cuddily, warm cloth of memories.

I countenance wholeheartedly with your assertion that Clint and I would have robot-danced for a gift(Come to think of it, we probably would have robot-danced, played the spoons and done the Mexican hat dance anyway whether there was a prize or not). You mentioned in your blog that since our acquaintenance, the sweater "was the only gift [you] have ever given [me]." On this point, I would have to disagree. Let me explain:

The gift of humility:
When I was a junior in High School, Lloyd Christmas in Dumb & Dumber was cool. This does not mean that his haircut was cool. Nor does it mean that I want to use the 'do to pick up on girls. I must say, Kim, that what you did to my hair on July 13, 1997 was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. My motto for the next 5 weeks: "Bangs?!?! I don' need no stinkin' bangs!!!

Pumpkin cookies
Anyone who's tasted them, 'Nuff Said"

One of my top 5 Christmas memories ever
"I'll make it easy for you, just get me snow white and the 7 dwarves for Christmas." Oh, those words will live on in the vault for a very long time. And then you shook the box, you thought it was your beloved Disney movie. Little did you know that it was none other than Mortal Kombat. I don't know what I enjoyed more: the look on Kim's face, or the fact that I thought of the joke myself.

By the way, I can't wait for the lost and found gift. If it's anything like our ward, it's either wetnaps, old watches, or scripture cases with zippers that don't work.

Anyway, thank you Kim. And I am completely serious when I say that you are definitely one of my favorite sisters'-in-law. And no, you would be completely humiliated if you tried to wrestle me to the ground...

I had to read the first paragraph five times before I realized I spelled it wrong, and even for a second I wondered if you were wrong, but on all things spelling, I will conceded that anyone would more likely spell it better than I did. Here's a truly embarrasing confession -- I spelled my own name wrong on the PSAT. Schools all over the country sent scholarship information to Kimbesly Tustison. Hey man, sorry about the hair. I'll have to make you a triple batch of pumkin cookies to make it up to you this Christmas.
